Ostuni, Italy

Italy, Ostuni, Puglia

Ostuni is Puglia’s “White City” (La Città Bianca). This sun-bleached medieval town rises on a hilltop high above the olive groves and looks out at the Adriatic Sea. The blazing white houses and churches in the old town spill over the top. The labyrinth alleys are appealing. The cafes are casual. The wine bars on the stairs are strewn with fluffy pillows on every step. Ostuni is one of the region’s most charming towns. Specifically, it is rich in history and magnificent architecture.

The dishes are excellent and respect the culinary traditions of Ostuni and Puglia. Additionally, the table settings are elegant and the service is superb. Finally, the awards from the most important restaurant guides are too numerous to mention.
