Sénéquier

From the small fishing village to the internationally known seaside resort from the 1950s,
Saint-Tropez has become the epicenter of the French Riviera and Sénéquier, its cardinal point. With, on the harbor side, the Café Sénéquier since 1930 and on the village side; the pastry shop, on the Place Aux Herbes, since 1887. When the first artists, writers and actors arrived on the Saint-Tropez peninsula at the end of the 19th century, the Sénéquier family already offered them its ancestral recipes: the white nougat
the tarte Tropézienne and candied fruits. The large red terrace with its splendid view of the port would only come much later, first as a “Salon de Thé”, a showcase for “homemade” pastries and sweets, and then as the “Café Sénéquier”, a privileged observatory of the “New Wave” and the eternal scene of the French Riviera.

Mediterranean Red

Some 125 years have passed and Sénéquier has remained faithful to its family tradition and its Mediterranean values which are none other than authenticity and quality, pleasure and conviviality. On the red terrace of the famous “Rouge Sénéquier”, enjoy the sun, the warmth, the gastronomy, the show of the Mediterranean.
