Mandarin Oriental Cristallo

Where Alpine heritage meets Mandarin Oriental elegance

This iconic Art Nouveau property is being transformed into a Mandarin Oriental flagship.

Perched atop a majestic mountaintop, the Cristallo is the crowning glory of Cortina d’Ampezzo, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and offering an enchanting blend of breathtaking landscapes, exhilarating skiing adventures, and delightful cuisine. A beloved icon of the Dolomites, this historic hotel is undergoing a remarkable transformation.

After closing in mid-2023, the Cristallo is set to reopen in summer 2025 as the Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina, just in time for the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics. The extensive renovation, led by the renowned architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, will seamlessly merge the hotel’s early 20th-century Art Nouveau elegance with modern luxury.

The revamped resort will feature 83 elegantly appointed guestrooms, including 30 suites, many with private balconies offering panoramic views of the stunning Dolomites. This reimagined Cristallo promises to deliver a perfect blend of timeless charm and contemporary sophistication, reclaiming its place as the jewel of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
