In route from Saint-Tropez, to Lake Como, we were directed to a gem of a restaurant in the heart of Langhe, neighboring Barolo. A medieval village among the vineyards of Piedmont, Monforte d’Alba rises in an enchanting position. The restaurant is Trattoria Della Posta. Since 1875 the family has been aiming for authentic tastes in the charming environment of Piedmont’s old countryside. The care for ingredients, especially mushrooms and truffles, is outstanding.
