Buza Bar

Dubrovnik’s most iconic “secret” bar

Clinging to the cliffs just outside the city walls, Buza is part bar, part lookout point, and all charm. With nothing but a stone ledge, a cold drink, and the endless blue horizon, it’s the definition of simple perfection.

Buza Bar is one of the most beautiful bars in Dubrovnik which hangs on the cliffs right above the sea. The panoramic view of the open Adriatic Sea is amazing. As a result, the drinks are pricey. Although, the view is priceless.

Insider Insight

“Buža” translates to “hole” in Croatian, and that’s exactly how you’ll find this hidden gem: through a hole in the Old Town walls. To get there, wander through the cobblestone streets near St. Saviour Church until you reach an unassuming door or archway that looks like it might lead nowhere. Walk through, and you’ll find yourself on a path leading to this clifftop oasis.

The bar’s charm lies not only in its location but also in its unpretentious simplicity. There’s no flashy signage, no extensive menu—just the essentials: drinks, the sea breeze, and a front-row seat to one of the most spectacular views in Dubrovnik. Pro tip: get there early to snag a prime spot, as seating is limited and this “hole-in-the-wall” bar is no longer much of a secret!
