Though the building itself will close from September 2025 through 2030, the Pompidou’s collection and influence will travel—popping up in unexpected ways across France, from cinema collaborations to mobile exhibitions.
Since 1977, the Centre Pompidou has stood as Paris’s most radical cultural icon—where industrial design meets world-class modern art. But beginning in fall 2025, the museum will temporarily close for a multi-year transformation, restoring its architectural integrity and reimagining the visitor experience for generations to come.
