Insider Insight

Arrive between 9–11 a.m. or 3–5 p.m., when the majority of ships are passing through. Ask the staff for a “transit forecast”—they’ll tell you which vessels are scheduled and where to stand for the best angle. VIP guests can pre-arrange balcony access through the Panama Canal Authority’s concierge—rare and ideal for photography or private viewings.
