Just before the main entrance to Kuang Si Falls lies a beautifully curated butterfly sanctuary and botanical garden, home to dozens of native species.

The forests around Kuang Si Waterfall have always attracted a large number of butterflies. As a result, the Kuang Si Butterfly Park gives visitors an opportunity to view them up close.

Run by two Dutch expats passionate about conservation, the park also supports ecological education for local students. Arrive before the falls, when butterflies are most active (between 9–11am). For photography, opt for a cloudy day to catch them resting on flowers.
